Canam Technology Inc. (CTI) pioneered rebroadcast technology and developed the first ever AM tunnel rebroadcast system in 1962.

CTI is a leader in rebroadcasting, as a designer and manufacturer of Mark-III AM & FM Rebroadcast Systems and AM& FM& VHF & UHF Radiators (Tunnel Antennas) and as an integrator, designer and manufacturer of two-way radio systems for highway tunnels, in-building and subway systems.

In 2007, CTI has introduced its Mark IV Digital Narrowband Booster system for Channelized rebroadcast of UHF and 800MHz. The Mark IV-D is an extension of our Mark III and Mark IV analog systems using the latest digital processing technology to deliver the flexibility to meet the challenges of digital rebroadcast.

CTI's current Mark-III AM & FM Rebroacast System is the result of more than 40 years of development and operational evaluation. There are over 50 current Rebroadcast Installations. Some have over 10 years of continuous, failure free operation.

In 1962, CTI was recruited by CALTRANS; to develop an AM rebroadcast system to benefit automobile traffic in the Caldecott Tunnel, Oakland, California. CTI's pioneering effort delivered the first ever tunnel-rebroadcast system.

In 1985 CTI developed, the first FM rebroadcast systems and patented its Mark-III full spectrum override system for emergency rebroadcasting. CTI pioneered rebroadcast technology

In 2000, CTI was selected as the Rebroadcast System provider for the Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project, based on the development of its state of the art Mark III-A Channelized Rebroadcast System. The Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project when completed will be the world's largest and most complex highway rebroadcast system.

In 2005, CTI has introduced its Mark IV system for Channelized rebroadcast of UHF and 800MHz. The Mark IV is an extension of our Mark III platform into the public safety bands and is based on our extensive experience as an integrator of all of the major brands of on-channel repeaters. The Mark IV is designed to meet the strict standards of FCC Part 90.219d, in a cost effective retrofit and new installation packages.

CTI has designed and integrated two-way radio rebroadcast systems using various platforms: BaseStations/Repeaters, BDA (Broadband Boosters) and OFR (On-Frequency Repeaters or narrowband boosters) for Public Safety and Cellular customers. Our extensive experience as a designer of rebroadcast equipment adds to our understanding of rebroadcast systems.
