Features
FOD RF-over-Fiber links are ideal for long distance transmission of RF signals over single-mode fiber-optic cables.
Wideband 10-1000MHz,
Ultra-wide dynamic range.
Very low signal loss (less than 0.5dB/km)
Suitable for analog or digital signal modulation.
Comprehensive alarm/status monitoring.
DFB laser at 1310 20nm (1550 nm/CWDM/DWDM options)
Individual Tx and Rx modules, or combined Tx/Rx modules/ Dual.
Redundancy Switch
Redundancy High power RF Switches provides diversity path for two equals inputs.
The OM-HRSW are fully compatible with the OMU-C3E and OM-ECM units for seamless integration.
Switches are available with a discrete relay position.
Switch control is via hardware and/or software.

RF over Fiber technology
RF over fiber (RFoF) is the method of converting a radio wav (RF) into light by modulating the intensity of the light source (typically a laser) with RF signal.
This is an analog process and no digitisation is used. The light signal is then transmitted over a fiber optic cable, which replaces and exceeds the capabilities of traditional copper coax cable.
to maximise the potential signal to noise ratio and sensitivity of any system
Optical fiber is immune to electromagnetic interference and is therefore considered an excellent alternative to coaxial cable when routing through noisy RF environments.
RFoF is used to connect antennas to transmission and receiving equipment.
